Iceglass Doppelganger | Free 5e and PF2e Monster

Iceglass Doppelganger | Free 5e and PF2e Monster

Written by Luke Hart

A shimmering figure stands some distance away in the falling snow, appearing made of frosted glass at first glance. As its body catches the pale light of the moon, a haunting display of crystalline beauty is revealed. Its breath condenses into a fine mist that swirls around it, almost like a personal snowstorm. Then, it morphs before your eyes, taking on the likeness of one of your companions. It's almost perfect, too perfect, save for the misty aura that continues to emanate from its form.

The icy North is cruel and unforgiving by most folks’ standards. For the truly unfortunate, for those who have offended the North beyond forgiveness, awaits perhaps the most ominous of all. A creature able to assume the form of its victims and mirror their every action, the iceglass doppelganger is a being of legend feared by all but the foolish. Few who gaze into its frosty reflection ever see anything else in the mortal realm.

Chilling Impersonators. Made of what looks like frosted glass, the iceglass doppelganger is a mysterious and unsettling figure that emits a constant mist from its breath. Its icy glass-like nature allows it to take on the likeness of any humanoid it observes. The Aurorians consider these creatures divine avatars, believing them to be fragments of Polarnox, their deity of the northern sky.

Versions for both 5e and Pathfinder 2e are included.
